After a long and successful career playing the stock market, Krista left the Wall Street life to focus on family and chase after her dream job. And before long she was back in college, this time studying fashion design.
Krista’s next step was the launch of her own business in 2009 based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Krista is inspired by the people and places that she has experienced while traveling, from the skyscrapers and energy of big city life to the calm and quaint scenery of exotic beach destinations.
Fresh and innovative, Krista’s designs are the perfect blend between sophistication and sexiness. Tailored silhouettes, high quality fabrics and attention to detail compliment the lifestyle of the fun loving woman who is confident and sure of herself as well as her fashion choices – she wants to feel glamorous and feminine, but there’s a little edge and sassiness to her. Recognizing that upscale chic and unique swimwear is hard to come by in Salt Lake, prompted Krista to introduce and re-focus her line on swim and resort wear.
Over the past two years, Krista has made a name for herself on the local fashion scene as Salt Lake’s fashion authority. Recognized not only for her talented designs, but also for her freelance fashion writing, covering fashion for The Salt Lake Tribune and In This Week, and teaching fashion classes at the Salt Lake Community College Fashion Institute.
Krista has been featured in many publications such as LIVE Magazine New Zealand, The Salt Lake Tribune, Deseret News, In This Week, Salt Lake City Magazine, and other local publications. Awards and recognitions include City Weekly’s 2010 Arty Award: Reader’s Choice for Favorite Fashion Designer. Krista was a national winner of Steve Madden’s Art + Sole Shoe Design Competition in 2007. Her winning boot design was named after her and was produced and sold at Steve Madden retail stores and online.
